What are the benefits?

Here at the RVU PA Program, we're dedicated to ensuring you receive the highest quality education possible. That's why we've tailored our curriculum to align with the professional competencies recognized by leading medical education organizations such as AAPA, ARC-PA, NCCPA, and more.

What does that mean for you? It means you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge essential for success in your PA career. We’ve identified these competencies and integrated them into the core clinical tasks all providers must perform – regardless of specialty. These clinical tasks are known as Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs). The EPAs serve as a framework to assess your competency development and ensure you’re meeting the standards expected of a competent, collaborative, and compassionate PA.

At RVU, we're not just about theory; we're about hands-on learning experiences that support your development every step of the way. Whether it's through clinical rotations, simulation exercises, or classroom instruction, we're here to provide the educational foundation you need to excel in each EPA.

“I was drawn to RVU's location, small class size, and competency-based curriculum that allows us to learn at our own pace and focus on our individual strengths and weaknesses. Above all, I felt like RVU's faculty was warm and welcoming during my interview, and now that I'm in my second year, I can say every one of my professors genuinely care about our success.”

- Haley Kagimoto

“I was originally drawn to RVU due to the shorter didactic phase paired with a longer period of clinical rotations! I am a very hands-on learner, so I knew that this would be the program for me. Due to a longer clinical portion of the program, we are able to complete 12 different rotations, which provides for a lot of exposure into all specialties so that we can become well-rounded and competent PA’s.”
